NTT DATA Develops AI Solutions with Microsoft Cloud

NTT DATA has showcased the various AI solutions that it has developed with Microsoft’s cloud services.

The global digital business and IT services leader, NTT Data, showcased these solutions at the annual developer conference, Microsoft Ignite 2024.

NTT DATA enables clients to access and enhance Microsoft technologies, such as its cloud services, Copilot, generative AI, cybersecurity, and analytics.

Marv Mouchawar, Head of Global Innovation, NTT DATA, explains how its Microsoft AI product development aligns with its purpose: “We have a responsibility to foster reliable outcomes with clear business value.

“NTT DATA helps clients identify new ways to leverage, expand and optimise data.

“Our dedicated Microsoft services practice codevelops innovative products and joint solutions that combine NTT DATA’s industry expertise with Microsoft’s cloud services.”

NTT DATA became a Microsoft Global System Integrator Partner in August last year to support clients efforts relating to Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and service capabilities.

Japan Gets tsuzumi

One of the joint innovations announced by NTT DATA is tsuzumi on Azure via Microsoft’s Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform in Japan.

From November 20th, the small, lightweight language model designed for Japanese language processing became available in Japanese and English.

Stephen Boyle, Global Leader, GSI, ESI and Advisory Partners, at Microsoft, commented on the large language model (LLM): “By collaborating with NTT, we are making the tsuzumi’ LLM bilingual model, available in the Azure Model Catalog.

“This model delivers efficient Japanese AI capabilities, that excel in summarisation, content generation and information retrieval that makes it easy for customers to build innovative AI solutions.”

GenAI TechHub Now Available

The accelerator platform, GenAI TechHub, was also featured at Microsoft Ignite this year.

It provides a suite of integrate generative AI prototypes, toolkits, components, and solutions to reduce complexity and risk while also accelerating adoption of the solution.

TechHub helps to solve challenges presented by siloed systems, teams and data, as well as voiding standardised, enterprise-quality output, and more.

The solution scales on Azure and integrates with various leading infrastructures and tools.

NTT DATA clients have reportedly gained 40 percent quicker deployments, decreased costs and improved time to market and returns on investments.

Azure OpenAI Modernises Legacy Apps

The NTT DATA coding platform has been created for quick and efficient transformations and speeds up legacy app modernisation via Azure OpenAI.

Benefits to enterprises that utilise this solution include reduced costs, increased efficiency through automation of 80 percent of code and task. As a result, development costs are slashed and project efficiency is enhance by 40 percent.

Microsoft Azure OpenAI also guarantees enterprise-grade security, scalability, and compliance.

Using generative AI, NTT Data gives businesses the ability to rapidly transform their legacy systems, which could cut down on their time-to-market by as much as 50 percent.

The platform offers a customised approach so that the modernisation to support each organisation’s specific objectives and needs.

Also at Microsoft Ignite this year, Microsoft announced an extension to its strategic partnership with C3 AI, which it says will accelerate the adoption of enterprise AI on Microsoft Azure.
